Adenine is a component of DNA, RNA, cofactors nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD). It is also part of flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) and signaling molecules cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP).

Application

Adenine hemisulfate salt has been used:
