General description

Aluminum potassium sulfate dodecahydrate is an inorganic sulfate salt of aluminum and potassium. Linear growth rates of (100), (111) and (110) faces of its crystals have been investigated.[1]

Application

• Extraction and characterization of lignin from oil palm biomass via ionic liquid dissolution and non-toxic aluminium potassium sulfate dodecahydrate precipitation processes.: This study explores an environmentally benign method for extracting lignin from oil palm biomass using ionic liquids, followed by the precipitation of lignin using non-toxic aluminium potassium sulfate dodecahydrate.
