General description

(E)-Mevinphos is the E-isomer of the organophosphorus insecticide, mevinphos, used to control chewing and sucking insect pests in crop production. Its mode of action involves the inhibition of acetylcholinesterase activity in insect pests.[1]

Application

(E)-Mevinphos may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in groundwater samples using automated online liquid-solid extraction followed by liquid chromatography-atmospheric pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry (LC/APCI-MS).[2]
