Descripción

General description

Kinesin-like protein KIF3 (KIF3A) is a member of the heteromeric family of kinesins and plays an important role in primary cilia formation. KIF3A functions as a microtubule-based anterograde translocator for membranous organelles and forms a heterotrimeric KIF3 complex with KIF3B or KIF3C and an associated protein, KAP3. Mutations in in KIF3A have been associated with cranial base growth retardation and dysmorphogenesis.

Other homologies: Mouse, Rat, Chicken, Zebrafish, and Frog (92% sequence homology).

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human KIF3A.

Application

Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:500 dilution from a representative lot detected KIF3A in A431, HeLa, and NIH/3T3 cells.
