Gene Information

human ... DDX4(54514)

General description

DDX4 (Vasa or MVH) is a member of the DEAD family of proteins and is a probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase. DDX4 (Vasa) proteins are mostly localized in testicular germ cells in the cytoplasm of spermatocytes. DDX4 (Vasa) is a high-copy extragenic suppressor gene. DDX4 (Vasa) is shown to be significantly decreased in spermatozoa of men that are infertile and may have an important role in male fertility.

Specificity

This antibody recognizes DDX4 (Vasa) at the C-terminus.

Immunogen

Epitope: C-terminus
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of mouse DDX4 (Vasa).

Application

Anti-DDX4 (Vasa) Antibody detects level of DDX4 (Vasa) & has been published & validated for use in WB, IH(P).
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:100-250 dilution from a previous lot detected DDX4 (Vasa) in normal human testis tissue.
