General description

Norbuprenorphine is the primary active metabolite of the opiate buprenorphine in urine. This internal standard is suitable for quantitation of norbuprenorphine levels or isotope dilution methods by GC/MS or LC/MS for pain prescription monitoring, clinical toxicology, urine drug testing or forensic analysis. Buprenorphine, sold under trade names such as Buprenex^®, Subutex^® and Suboxone^®, is an opiate drug used to treat opioid addiction and to moderate acute pain.
