Aplicación

Erythrosin B has been used as a dye in fluorescence lifetime imaging.[1][2]

Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas

Erythrosin B, also called as eosin B, is a xanthene dye.[3] It belongs to the family of fluorescein dyes. It plays a major role in inhibiting dopamine uptake and high affinity 3H-ouabain binding and ion transport in synaptosomes from rat caudate nucleus.[4][5]

Because of the serious harm to animals and the environment associated with perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), a rapid, sensitive and low-cost method for detecting PFOS and PFOA is of great importance. In this paper, a novel sensing

Questions

1–2 of 2 Questions
  1. How to prepare for Erythrosin B (200964) 0,5%?

    1 answer
    1. Erythrosin B solutions can be prepared in various solvents. The dye is commonly prepared in water, buffered salt solutions or in ethanol. The Biological Stain Commission dissolves the dye in clove oil for the testing that is performed for certification of biological dyes. The solvent chosen will depend upon the staining applications. Erythrosin B can be dissolved in water to ~11 percent and 5% in ethanol. Some application recommend mixing or vortexing the solutions before use

  2. Are there instructions for using Erythrosin B for fluorescent microscopy?

    1 answer
    1. Erythrosin B and Eosin B are considered synonyms; however, there are differences in their CAS numbers and CI numbers. Although there are no specific instructions for the use of product 200964, instructions are available for another Erythrosin B. This product can be used in a light microscopy procedure called hematoxylin and eosin staining. Additionally, both Erythrosin B and Eosin B are commonly used in H&E staining procedures and may be suitable for fluorescence microscopy for viability staining. While there is no product available for a staining procedure for viability staining, multiple procedures are available on the internet that can be considered for use with product 200964.
