- As a matrix in the MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry analysis of the poly(styrene-co-pentafluorostyrene) copolymers.[1]
- To prepare pharmacologically important 2,5-DBHA-gelatin conjugate, which can act as a polymer for the development of drug formulations.[2]
- As a tridentate ligand to synthesize complexes of molybdenum by reacting with (PPh4)4Mo8O26.[3]
- As a starting material in the total synthesis of landomycin A, an angucycline antibiotic.[4]
