Analysis Note

3′,4′-Methylenedioxy-a-pyrrolidinopropiophenone, also known as MDPPP, is a synthetic cathinone found in numerous bath salt blends under the street name NRG-1. This designer drug first emerged in Germany in the late 1990s and early 2000s as an ingredient in imitation ecstasy pills. Astec CHIROBIOTIC V2, based on vancomycin CSP, provided resolution of the enatiomers. CRMs from Cerillliant provided reliable identification and quantification.
