Application

Nα-p-Tosyl-L-arginine methyl ester hydrochloride has been used as an esterolytic substrate to assess trypsin-like activity in midgut extracts. It has also been used as a substrate for measuring trypsin activity of pancreatin and human intestinal samples.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Nα-p-Tosyl-L-arginine methyl ester (TAME) binds to anaphase-promoting complex (APC) and prevents its activation by Cdc20 and Cdh1.
