m-dPEG4-thiol is a monodisperse PEGylation reagent designed to modify gold and silver surfaces or biomolecules that contain free, surface-accessible thiols. The single molecular weight, discrete-length PEG (dPEG) spacer is 14 atoms (15.8 Å) long. One end of the spacer terminates with a methyl group, while the other end terminates with a sulfhydryl. The sulfhydryl group forms dative bonds with gold and disulfides with free thiols under non-reducing conditions.

In this work, we report a novel polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-free variable-number tandem repeat (VNTR) typing method using a T-shaped gold nanoparticle-DNA monoconjugate, called the "watching-gene assay". The T-shaped DNA probe was synthesized by "click" chemistry and linked with the
The matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are well-known mediators that are activated in tumor progression. MMP2 is a kind of gelatinase in extracellular matrix remodeling and cancer metastasis processes. MMP2 secretion increased in many types of cancer diseases, and its abnormal expression
