Application

Chromogenic substrate for use with alkaline and acid phosphatase ELISA procedures. Produces a soluble end product that is yellow in color and can be read spectrophotometrically at 405 nm. The pNPP reaction may be stopped with 3 N NaOH and read at 405 nm.

    1. Product S0942 and 487666 are not identical. While both are pNPP tablets used for the same type of assays, they differ in form and molecular weight. Product S0942 is a disodium salt hexahydrate with a molecular weight of 371.14, whereas 487666 is pNPP but not the disodium salt hexahydrate, with a molecular weight of 217.07. Both tablets are stated to be 5mg tablets of pNPP and are produced by different divisions of the company.
