    1. Solubility is not tested at Sigma Aldrich, but the literature reports solubility up to 9% (i.e., 90 mg/mL) in water and 0.6% (6 mg/mL) in ethanol.

    1. Yes, product HT70116 is available in pre-made form.  The product is approved for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use.

  5. Has Pyronin Y, Product 83200, been use-tested for the demonstration of RNA?

    1. No. There are, however, two other Pyronin products from Sigma-Aldrich which should be suitable.  Product No. P9172 has been used to stain RNA in polyacrylamide gels.  Product No. 213519 was submitted to the Biological Stain Commission for certification.  Testing was performed by the Biological Stain Commission to ensure the Pyronin Y stained RNA in tissue sections.
