Carbimazole is a pro-drug of methimazole that is an inhibitor of thyroid enzyme thyroperoxidase.
Carbimazole is a pro-drug of methimazole that is an inhibitor of thyroid enzyme thyroperoxidase. Carbimazole is used to treat hyperthyroidism. Also, carbimazole induces phosphorylation of eukaryotic elongation factor eEF2.
