General description

Elution buffer is a major solvent in affinity chromatography. Elution buffer is used to wash away unbound proteins at first and at a greater concentration it releases the desired protein from the ligand. It is important that the elution buffer works quickly without changing the function or activity of the desired protein.

Application

HIS-Select® Elution Buffer has been used in the elution of recombinant coagulase protein and tomoregulin

Physical form

Contains 250 mM Imidazole, 0.3 M sodium chloride, 50 mM sodium phosphate, pH 8.0.

Coagulase activation of prothrombin by staphylococcus induces the formation of fibrin deposition that facilitates the establishment of infection by Staphylococcus species. Coagulase activity is a key characteristic of Staphylococcus pseudintermedius; however, no coagulase gene or associated protein has been studied

Amyloid-β (Aβ) protein causes neurotoxicity and its abnormal aggregation into amyloid is a pathological hallmark of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Cellular proteins able to interact with Aβ or its precursor, AβPP (amyloid-β protein precursor), may regulate Aβ production and neurotoxicity. We
