General description
Quartz fiber filters (Type AQFA) are suitable for measuring heavy metal concentrations and small amounts of particles (such as the US EPA PM 10 ambient air monitoring method)
Application
- Measuring heavy metal concentrations and small amounts of particles
- EPA PM10 monitoring• PM2.5 monitoring
- Microplastics analysis
Quartz fiber membrane filter without binder has been used:
- to prepare dry plasma films for near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR)
- for sampling diesel particulate matter (DPM) and for analyzing the elemental carbon (EC) and organic carbon (OC)
- for sampling the workplace air to analyze alkanolamines
Features and Benefits
- Made of quartz fibers with no glass fibers or binders.
- Improved composition prevents the filters from reacting with acidic gases, unlike glass fiber filters that can react and cause false readings.
- The quartz filters also exhibit good weight and form stability.
