General description

Swage type fittings are one of the most popular connectors which are available in metal and plastic forms; they are very useful for connecting similar or dissimilar materials, like metal to glass or metal to plastic. The general swage tubing coupler has four parts namely the body, into which the tube is placed, two ferrules that is front ferrule and back ferrule and lastly a packing nut. Swagelok® zero-dead- volume unions are principally designed for liquid and gas chromatography. On application of Swagelok® zero-dead- volume unions, a perfect low-dead-volume connection between column terminator and injector or detector is obtained.
Nuts and ferrules included.

Application

Swagelok® zero-dead- volume unions maybe used in all the connections between the valve, the columns and the detector during the studies pertaining to the relation between column plate number, particle size, and loadability for a given solute.
