General description

Monoclonal Anti-Chicken Egg Albumin (Ovalbumin) (mouse IgG1 isotype) is produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from an immunized mouse.

Immunogen

Biochem/physiol Actions

Ovalbumin (OVA) is the main component of egg white proteins in hens. OVA stimulates IgE-mediated hypersensitivity responses in individuals with egg allergy. The protein has also been used to study structure-function relationships in allergens. Thus, Monoclonal Anti-Chicken Egg Albumin (Ovalbumin) antibody can be a useful tool for the analysis of egg albumin function in mediating food allergies.
