General description

1-Hexyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluormethylsulfonyl)imide is a 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium based ionic liquid. The solubility of gases such as oxygen and methane in HMIM TFS can be improved in the presence of carbon dioxide.

Application

  • Electrochemical behavior and determination of rutin on modified carbon paste electrodes.: This research investigates the electrochemical properties of rutin using modified carbon paste electrodes incorporating 1-Hexyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide, an ionic liquid. The study highlights the ionic liquid′s role in enhancing the electrode′s sensitivity and stability, making it a promising material for electrochemical sensing applications (Macikova et al., 2012).
