T8877 is tested for solubility at 50 mg/ml in water. Although no suitability testing is performed, 2,3,5-Triphenyltetrazolium chloride (Tetrazolium Red) is often used to assess plant viability using a 10 mg/ml solution. Other uses, such as staining brain or heart tissue, have been reported.

The long-term solution stability of this product has not been determined. However, product 17779, a sterile 1% solution, has a shelf life of approximately 3 years. Provided that the solution is filter sterilized and stored properly at 2-8°C, a similar shelf life would be expected. Please see the link below to review this product:
