How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. The pH of Trizma hydrochloride in water is dependent on the concentration. The pH of a 0.1 M aqueous solution is approximately 4.7 while the pH of a 40% (w/w) aqueous solution is typically 2.6-3.3.

Is Product T3253, Trizma® hydrochloride, the same as Tris buffer?
1 answer-
No. Trizma HCl in solution at 0.05 M will produce a pH of approximately 4.7, but will have little if any buffering capacity. Trizma Base in solution at 0.05 M will produce a pH of approximately 10.4, but will have little if any buffering capacity. Blending Trizma Base and Trizma HCl will produce any desired pH between 7 and 9, with a reasonable buffering capacity.
