Application

SU 5416 has been used to treat HUVEC cells before the tube formation assay to assess its impact on the network generated from tube formation.[1] to induce pulmonary hypertension (PH) in mice to serve as an experimental model[2]

Biochem/physiol Actions

SU 516 inhibits the activity of neuronal nitric oxide synthase and protects the neuronal cells from nitric oxide-mediated neurotoxicity.1 It also acts an agonist of aryl hydrocarbon receptor and is an effective clinical agent for treating autoimmune diseases and transplant rejection.2
SU 5416 is a vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor protein tyrosine kinase 1/2 inhibitor.

General description

SU 5416 is a vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor protein tyrosine kinase 1/2 inhibitor. SU 5416 is known to prevent tumor growth and tumor angiogenesis.[3] SU 5416 inhibits the activity of neuronal nitric oxide synthase and protects the neuronal cells from nitric oxide-mediated neurotoxicity. It also acts as an agonist of aryl hydrocarbon receptor and may be an effective clinical agent for treating autoimmune diseases and transplant rejection.[4]

Questions

  1. What temperature does this product is shipped in?

    1 answer
    1. While this product is stored frozen at -20°C, it is stable for relatively short periods at room temperature. The item is shipped ambient, and shipping routes are configured to minimize transit time. Freezer storage products that ship at ambient temperature are considered stable up to 2 weeks to allow for transit time.
