Application

Gibberellic acid has been used to study mechanical properties with cellular resolution in the light-grown hypocotyl of Arabidopsis thaliana.[1]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Phytohormone that controls important aspects of plant growth: germination, elongation, and flowering. The effects are mediated by inducing degradation of the DELLA repressor protein, and probably other minor signalling pathways.

    1. It is recommended to dissolve this product at 50mg/ml in pure Ethanol. From there, it can be diluted with an aqueous buffer or medium to the required working concentration.
