General description

A cell-permeable, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the oxicam family which preferentially inhibits the inducible isoform of COX-2 (IC₅₀ = 4.7 µM) relative to COX-1 (IC₅₀ = 36.6 µM). Also inhibits the growth of colorectal cancer cells in vitro.
