General description

Yeast extract agar is a medium rich in nutrients that permits the recovery of a large spectrum of bacteria, yeast, and molds. ReadyTube® is ready to use media to provide the highest level of quality and testing confidence for improving accuracy and significantly reducing the risk of false results. ReadyTube® Yeast extract agar is a highly nutritive medium recommended for the plate count of microorganisms in water. Water contains large number of microorganisms, the combination of a nutrient-rich culture medium and incubation temperatures of +22 °C and +36 °C allows the detection of many of these organisms. The media contains Yeast extract agar formulation that is in accordance with ISO 6222. The peptone in the media provides nitrogenous compounds, vitamin B complex, and other growth nutrients.
