Description

General description

Agar Strips SDX are ready-to-use culture media for assessment of airborne yeasts and molds with RCS^® Air Samplers. Each individual agar strip is welded into a re-sealable sleeve and 100% visually controlled, ensuring maximum safety in critical environments. Sabouraud Dextrose Agar is filled in a flexible backing film. Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDX, SDA) is a complex medium for cultivation and isolation of a wide range of yeasts and molds. Dextrose supports the growth of fungi. The medium is supplemented with chloramphenicol and chlortetracycline to inhibit the growth of accompanying bacterial flora.

Application

Agar Strips are used for monitoring of ambient air and compressed gases with RCS^® Air Samplers.
