Application

Azure II has been used in the Richardson′s stock solution for the staining of lysosomal glycogen. It has also been used in the periodic acid schiff staining procedure for the staining of glycogen, nuclei and cytoplasm.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Azure II complex is used for the staining of nuclei, goblet cells, striated muscle, endothelial cells, smooth muscle, cytoplasm, lipid droplets, red blood cells, glycogen, collagen, cartilage, mucus granules, elastin and leukocytes.
