General description
Oxygen-17O2 is the isotopic analogue of oxygen.
Application
Oxygen-17O2 can be used
to estimate the cerebral metabolic rate of oxygen consumption (CMRO2) of swine by detection of metabolically produced H217O by rapid T1-weighted proton magnetic resonance imaging.
to understand the altered cerebral oxygen metabolism in glioma via dynamic 17O MRI.
to measure the quantitative and simultaneous measurement of oxygen consumption rates in rat brain and skeletal muscle using 17O MRS imaging.

Packaging
All gas volumes are quoted at Standard Temperature and Pressure (STP) and not at Normal Temperature and Pressure (NTP). One STP Liter is 7.7% more gas than one NTP Liter.
