General description

Magnesium boride (MgB2) powder is a superconductive material which has a critical temperature (Tc) = 39K. It can be used for a variety of applications such as hydrogen storage, high energy fuel and high field superconductors.

Application

  • Combustion characteristics of magnesium borides and their agglomerated particles: This research examines the combustion properties of magnesium borides, comparing them to boron to understand their potential in energetic materials (Y Guo, X Zhou, W Zhang, L Deng, Y Du, S Cheng, 2019).

  • Review on magnesium diboride (MgB2) as excellent superconductor: Discusses the superconducting properties of magnesium diboride and the effects of different production techniques on these properties, critical for applications in superconducting technologies (M Rafieazad, O Balci, S Acar, M Somer, 2017).

  • Novel magnesium borides and their superconductivity: Investigates new forms of magnesium borides under high pressure, exploring their potential superconducting properties, which could lead to new advancements in materials science (MMD Esfahani, Q Zhu, H Dong, AR Oganov, 2017).
