Application

  • Ultraviolet Dosimetry: Dibromomethane facilitated the development of photochromic perovskite nanocrystals, enhancing their application in ultraviolet radiation monitoring and dosimetry, critical for environmental and health safety measures (Chen et al., 2024).
  • Energy Storage Solutions: It was utilized as both solvent and electrophilic cross-linker in the synthesis of highly porous hyper-cross-linked polymers, which are effective in methane storage under high pressures, showcasing its role in advancing material sciences for energy applications (Yang et al., 2024).
  • Halogenated Compound Sensing: Dibromomethane was instrumental in the creation of photoluminescent copper(I) iodide alkylpyridine thin films, used as sensors for volatile halogenated compounds, thus enhancing detection capabilities in chemical safety and environmental monitoring (Jamshidi et al., 2023).
