Anti-RABEP1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total RABEP1 protein. The gene RABEP1 (Rab GTPase-binding effector protein 1) is mapped to human chromosome 17p13.2. The encoded protein has two Rab5-binding sites.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human RABEP1.
Immunogen Range: 549-598
Biochem/physiol Actions
RABEP1 (Rab GTPase-binding effector protein 1) is an effector of Rab5 and plays an important role in homotypic and heterotypic fusions of early endosomes. Absence of RABEP1 suppresses Rab5-associated early endosome fusion.

Physical form
Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Rabex-5 and Rabaptin-5 function together to activate Rab5 and further promote early endosomal fusion in endocytosis. The Rabex-5 GEF activity is autoinhibited by the Rabex-5 CC domain (Rabex-5CC) and activated by the Rabaptin-5 C2-1 domain (Rabaptin-5C21) with yet unknown mechanism.
PDGFRB-rearranged T-lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma occurring with myeloid neoplasms: the missing link supporting a stem cell origin.
Endocytosis is differentially regulated by hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) and phospholipase D (PLD). However, the relationship between HIF-1α and PLD in endocytosis is unknown. HIF-1α is degraded through the prolyl hydroxylase (PHD)/von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) ubiquitination pathway in an oxygen-dependent manner. Here
