Application

Anti-LRFN5 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. Biochem/physiol Actions

LRFN5 (leucine rich repeat and fibronectin type III domain containing 5) encodes a protein that functions as a cell adhesion molecule involved in homophilic cell-cell adhesion in a Ca2+-independent manner. It belongs to the SALM (synaptic adhesion-like molecules) family of proteins that are mainly expressed in the CNS. It is also required for neurite outgrowth in hippocampal neurons.
