Gene Information

human ... PHLPP2(23035)

General description

PH Domain And Leucine Rich Repeat Protein Phosphatase 2 is encoded by the PHLPP2 gene. It is known to catalyze the dephosphorylation of pSer473 of AKT1 and pSer660 of PRKCbeta-II, as well as pSer657 of PRKCalpha.

Immunogen

Epitope: Within PP2C-like Domain
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding within the PP2C-like domain of human PHLPP2.

Application

Anti-PHLPP2 Antibody is an antibody against PHLPP2 for use in Western Blotting and Immunocytochemistry.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: 2.0 ug/mL from a representative lot detected PHLPP2 in HUVEC cells.

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blotting in HUVEC cell lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: 0.2 µg/mL of this antibody detected PHLPP2 in 10 µg of HUVEC cell lysate.

Target description

~150 kDa observed. Predicted to cross-react to all isoforms. Isoform 2 (~107kDa) can possibly be detected at longer exposures/higher concentrations or in certain tissues.

Physical form

Affinity purified
Purified rabbit polyclonal in buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl with 0.05% sodium azide.

Storage and Stability

Stable for 1 year at 2-8°C from date of receipt.
