General description

4,5-Methylenedioxy-1,2-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride is a fluorescence tag for ⍺-keto acids. It is also required for the derivatization of sialic acids in presence of dilute sulfuric acid. The method allows determination of sialic acids.

Application

Fluorogenic reagent for α-ketoacids.
