General description

Sigma′s Lambda DNA EcoR I Hind III Digest contains 13 fragments from 125 – 21,226 bp. Ten ul of the ladder should be diluted in gel loading buffer and then loaded in a single lane on an agarose or polyacrylamide gel.

Application

Lambda DNA EcoR I Hind III Digest has been used as DNA markers for comparing the molecular weights of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplified products.
Suitable for size determination of dsDNA by electrophoresis with either agarose or polyacrylamide gels.

Components

Sigma′s Lambda DNA EcoR I Hind III Digest is provided in a solution of 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0), with 1.0 mM EDTA.

Other Notes

Contains 13 fragments, 125–21,226 bp
For optimal resolution, the recommended agarose gel concentration is 0.7%.

Preparation Note

Bacteriophage lambda DNA was digested with EcoR I and Hind III to completion, then purified by phenol extraction.
