General description

Pre-stained proteins are commonly used as molecular weight markers in electrophoresis. Several protein markers are available as pre-stained proteins with vinyl sulfone dyes. After separation through electrophoresis, the protein of interest is visualized by specific antibody coupled to a fluorophore or by chemiluminescence detection system. Anti-RAINBOW antibody is a unique antibody that can detect pre-stained molecular markers from different vendors without the need to perform a manual marking and estimating molecular weights. Anti-RAINBOW antibody detects all marker proteins in commercially available RAINBOW markers tested and lacks cross-reactivity with unstained proteins in whole cell lysates of a variety of species. It displays equal detection of Remazol-dye stained proteins: phosphorylase b (red), BSA and ADH (blue), chymotrypsin (yellow) and lysozyme (orange).

Specificity

Anti-RAINBOW, HRP-conjugated is a mouse monoclonal antibody that can be used as a universal tool for visualizing prestained protein molecular weight markers in Western blot analysis. It recognizes and cross-reacts with comparable affinity with four different Remazol dye immunogens.

Immunogen

Purified Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR)-BSA, followed by RO16-Chymotrypsin, RGY-Catalase and RF3B-Lysozyme.

Application

Anti-RAINBOW, HRP-conjugated, Cat. No. MABC1690H, is a mouse monoclonal antibody that recognizes four different Remazol dye-conjugated proteins and can be used to visualize prestained molecular weight markers in Western Blotting.
