General description
Cytotoxicity of magnesium oxide nanoparticles on human neural cells and fibroblast was studied. It was found that of all the other metal oxide nanoparticles, MgO nanoparticles were least capable in inducing cell death.
Application
Nanoparticles of magnesium oxide may be used in forming Al2(1-x)MgxTi(1+x)O5 ceramic powder. A composite dielectric material may be prepared by loading poly(methylsilsesquioxane) (PMSQ) on MgO nanoparticles. MgO nanoparticles were used to nucleate ice under a certain temperature and pressure conditions.
