General description

La disolución de peróxido de hidrógeno se utiliza habitualmente como blanqueador.[1] Muestra propiedades germicidas y esporicidas.[2] El H2O2 es una especie de oxígeno reactivo que se forma como producto de reacción de varios procesos metabólicos aerobios.[3] Se ha descrito su cuantificación en ultra-trazas en el intervalo de concentración de 10-11mol/ml mediante un método fluorométrico.[4]

Application

El oxidante más ecológico para la bromación de los compuestos de 1,3-dicarbonilo, la formación de enlaces amida a partir de aminas y aldehídos, la halogenación de compuestos aromáticos y la destioacetilación.

Monocloración oxidativa muy selectiva para síntesis de intermediarios orgánicos: 2-Clorotolueno, 2-cloroanilina, 2-clorofenol y 2-cloro-4-metilfenol
La disolución de peróxido de hidrógeno se ha utilizado en un protocolo de inmunotransferencia.[5]
La disolución de peróxido de hidrógeno se ha utilizado también en la preparación de ′Piraña′, una mezcla de ácido sulfúrico y peróxido de hidrógeno destinada a limpiar las microplacas de silicio utilizadas en los chips de espectrometría de masas con iniciadores basado en nanoestructuras (NIMS).[6]
Puede utilizarse como oxidante para:
  • Epoxidación de oleofinas terminales en condiciones exentas de haluros.[7]
  • Oxidación del ciclohexano a ácido adípico en condiciones exentas de disolventes orgánicos y de haluros.[8]

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.     Good but...

    This was a good product if you need 30% w/w hydrogen peroxide, but it did leak during shipping. It comes in an oversized bottle to prevent leaks, but when it arrived, the plastic wrapped around it was wet so there had been some leakage. It wasn't a lot that leaked but it was something.
