Gene Information

human ... JAK2(3717)

General description

Anti-JAK2 antibody detects endogenous levels of total JAK2 protein.
JAK2 (janus kinase 2) encodes a tyrosine kinase. It belongs to the the Jak family of proteins. It is located on human chromosome 9p24.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human JAK2.

Immunogen Range: 541-590

Biochem/physiol Actions

JAK2 (janus kinase 2) plays an important role in the activities of cytokines receptors. Overexpression of JAK2 results in neuroblastoma. JAK2 mutations promote primary resistance to PD-1 (anti-programmed death protein 1) blockade therapy.
