General description

The Vivaspin 20 mL centrifugal concentrator has been developed to offer increased volume flexibility and performance. Vivaspin 20 can be used in either swing bucket of fixed angle rotors (carriers accepting 15 mL and 50 mL bottles). Vivaspin features twin vertical membranes for unparalleled filtration speed and 100X plus concentrations.

Remaining volume is easy to read off the printed scales on the side of the concentrator and the modified dead stop pocket further simplifies direct pipette recover of the final concentrate.

  • Vivaspin centrifugal concentrators offer the optimal solution to any concentration or buffer exchange application with their broad range of volume capacities and MWCOs
  • Highest flow rates and recoveries are achieved due to their particular vertical membrane design
  • Incomparably safe sample handling and convenience is assured by the patented dead-stop technology allowing direct recovery of the concentrate without further re-spin

Note: One step dealing of concentrated sample using diafiltration cup. Gas pressure filtration; for faster processing gas pressure can be combined with centrifugal force.

Zika virus (ZIKV) is mainly transmitted via mosquitos, but human-to-human transmissions also occur. The virus is shed into various body fluids including saliva, which represents a possible source of viral transmission. Thus, we here explored whether human saliva affects ZIKV
