General description

The CXC chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) is a G-protein coupled 7-transmembrane (TM) chemokine receptor. It is made up of 352 amino acids. CXCR4 is expressed on the surface of T-cells, B-cells, monocytes, neutrophils and dendritic cells. This gene is located on human chromosome 2q22.1.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human CXCR4 around the phosphorylation site of Ser339.

Immunogen Range: 303-352

Application

Anti-phospho-CXCR4 (pSer339) antibody has been used in immunohistochemical analysis.

Biochem/physiol Actions

The CXC chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) participates in the progression of the embryo, immune and inflammatory responses, modulation of hematopoiesis, human immunodeficiency virus infection and stimulation of angiogenesis. CXCR4 and its ligand, CXCL12 is involved in the synthesis of B-cell, myelopoiesis, integrin activation and chemotaxis.
