General description

EPA GRO Mix is a multi-component gasoline range organics (GRO) standard containing certified reference materials (CRMs) such as benzene, ethylbenzene, heptane, 2-methylpentane, toluene, 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, 2,2,4-trimethylpentane, o-xylene, and m-xylene. The GRO-like methods are used to quantify volatile analytes and require purge and trap or direct injection.

Application

EPA GRO Mix can be used as a certified reference material (CRM) standard to quantify the volatile organic impurities in inorganic coagulants used in drinking water and human breath samples by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.

Other Notes

This Certified Reference Material (CRM) is produced and certified in accordance with ISO 17034 and ISO/IEC 17025. All information regarding the use of this CRM can be found on the certificate of analysis.

Healthcare associated infections, including ventilator associated pneumonia, are difficult to diagnose and treat, and are associated with significant morbidity, mortality and cost. We aimed to demonstrate proof of concept that breath volatile profiles were associated with the presence of clinically

Protocols

There are three types of analyses: GRO, DRO, and TPH. The published methods are simply variations of these to meet the different analytical needs of the individual agencies.
