Application

2,2′-Dithiodipyridine has been used in the reconstitution of the reduced interchain disulfide bonds of monolconal antibodies. It may be used as a medium component for T cell hybridoma cell culture and as thiol crosslinking agent.

Biochem/physiol Actions

2,2′-Dithiodipyridine mediates inter-unit disulfide cross-linking. It interacts with carbon nucleophiles to yield thiopyridyl derivatives.
