General description

A certified solution standard for use in LC/MS or GC/MS benzodiazepine testing methods in clinical toxicology, urine drug testing, or forensic analysis. Clonazolam, also known as clonitrazolam, is a highly potent benzodiazepine analog that can cause strong sedation and amnesia at minimal oral doses. Clonazolam is also sold on the designer drug market with cases of abuse noted in Europe and the US.

Application

  • Benzodiazepine analogs: Research includes the development of Probe Electrospray Ionization Tandem Mass Spectrometry for the detection and quantification of benzodiazepines, such as clonazolam, enhancing forensic and clinical toxicology analyses (Griffeuille et al., 2024).
