Globotriaosylceramide (GB3) is a glycosphingolipid. It is located in the cell membrane of endothelial cell of glomeruli and human erythrocytes.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Globotriaosylceramide (GB3) is a potent receptor for verotoxin. It is expressed at high concentrations in Burkitt lymphoma cell lines, human embryonal carcinoma and other tumor cells.
