生化/生理作用

刚果红是一种基于联苯胺的阴离子重氮染料。它是一种组织学染料,可与多种淀粉样蛋白结合,用于定量淀粉样蛋白β-肽聚集。刚果红还能与β-D-葡聚糖、含有连续β-(1→4)-键的D-吡喃葡萄糖基单元的多糖以及一些半纤维素半乳糖甘露聚糖发生相互作用。

適合性

经认证可用作明矾苏木精的复染剂,以及用于Puchtler淀粉样蛋白染色的Highman或Churukian修饰。
