Specific for Adenosine A3 receptor. Based on mRNA studies, the A3R has been found in rat testis and lung, kidneys, heart and brain. Other studies have found the mRNA to be highest in lung, spleen and pineal glands and moderate levels in brain kidney and testis.

Western blot: 1-10 micrograms per mL: A3 receptors are different sizes in different species & tissues; A3R from rat brain membranes runs as a 40kDa band, 52kDa in rabbit uroepithelium membranes (Yu, W et al.
