3-硫酸-25-羟化胆固醇(25-hydroxycholesterol-3-sulfate, 25OHC3S)是一种核氧化固醇。在类固醇急性调节蛋白(STARD1)过表达后,该氧化类固醇在肝细胞核内大量蓄积。

應用

3-硫酸-25-羟化胆固醇已用于诱导抗炎反应,并用于研究其对淋巴细胞迁移的影响。还可作为氧化固醇硫酸酯的标准品,用于质谱和液相色谱分析。

生化/生理作用

3-硫酸-25-羟胆固醇(25OHC3S)参与肝脏中的脂质稳态平衡,也是脂质代谢的调节因子。25OHC3S作用于肝X受体(LXR)和固醇调节元件结合蛋白(SREBP),通过下调肝细胞和巨噬细胞中生物合成通路的酶,抑制胆固醇合成。还可作为激动剂作用于过氧化物酶体增殖物激活受体γ(PPAR-γ),并调节基于核因子κ-轻链增强子(NF-κB)的炎症反应。25OHC3S可调节肝细胞中肿瘤坏死因子α(TNFα)诱发的炎症反应。
