Talin consisting of a 47-kDa N-terminal head domain (residues 1-433) and a 190-kDa C-terminal rod domain (residues 434-2541), links integrins to the actin cytoskeleton.
Specificity
Expected cross-reactivity in mouse and chicken.
Recognizes Human Talin, and cross reacts with Mouse and chicken Talin. The epitope recognized by this antibody is located within the C-terminal region of the protein (residues 2269-2541), which also contains an F-actin binding site homologous to that in the yeast actin-binding protein SIa2p.
Application
Detect Talin using this Anti-Talin Antibody, C-terminus, clone TD77 validated for use in WB, IH(P).
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution of this antibody detected Talin in human GI track tissue.
Quality
Evaluated by Western Blot in Jurkat cell lysates. Western Blot Analysis: A 1:500 dilution of this lot detected Talin in 10 ug of Jurkat lysates.

Talin1 is a large cytoskeletal protein that links integrins to actin filaments through two distinct integrin binding sites, one present in the talin head domain (IBS1) necessary for integrin activation and a second (IBS2) that we have previously mapped to
Metastatic dissemination is a multi-step process that depends on cancer cells' ability to respond to microenvironmental cues by adapting adhesion abilities and undergoing cytoskeletal rearrangement. Breast Cancer Metastasis Suppressor 1 (BRMS1) affects several steps of the metastatic cascade: it decreases

Reciprocal interactions between Src family kinases (SFKs) and focal adhesion kinase (FAK) are critical during changes in cell attachment. Recently it has been recognized that another SFK substrate, CUB-domain-containing protein 1 (CDCP1), is differentially phosphorylated during these events. However, the

Myeloid cells play key roles in cancer immune suppression and tumor progression. In response to tumor derived factors, circulating monocytes and granulocytes extravasate into the tumor parenchyma where they stimulate angiogenesis, immune suppression and tumor progression.
