General description
SigmaScreen Poly D-Lysine (PDL) coated multiwell plates are coated with a synthetic PDL molecular weight range of 70-150 kDa. By coating the negatively charged polystyrene surface with PDL, the resulting positively charged surface has been shown to improve cell survival under low serum or serum-free conditions. SigmaScreen PDL coated multiwell plates can be used with a variety of cell lines including HEK-293 and mouse 3T3. For a more comprehensive listing of cell lines used with PDL coated multiwell plates, please refer to the PDL coated plate technical bulletin. Manufactured under ISO9002 in Sigma′s GMP facility, Sigma′s PDL coated multiwell plates are bioburden tested (fungal and bacterial) and endotoxin free.

HIF-1 is believed to play a critical role in hypoxia/ischemia (H/I) preconditioning protection in neonatal brain. Recently, it has been shown that hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2)) may contribute to H/I preconditioning in rat primary neurons. We hypothesize that H(2)O(2) produced during

Neuroligins (NLGs) are postsynaptic cell adhesion molecules that are thought to function in synaptogenesis. To investigate the role of NLGs on synaptic transmission once the synapse is formed, we transfected neuroligin-2 (NLG-2) in cultured mouse cerebellar granule cells (CGCs), and

CD95 is a multifunctional receptor that induces cell death or proliferation depending on the signal, cell type, and cellular context. Here, we describe a thus far unknown function of CD95 as a silencer of T cell activation. Naive human T

Skeletal muscle satellite cells are adult stem cells responsible for postnatal skeletal muscle growth and regeneration. Paired-box transcription factor Pax7 plays a central role in satellite cell survival, self-renewal, and proliferation. However, how Pax7 is regulated during the transition from

MicroRNAs (miRNAs or miRs) participate in the regulation of several biological processes, including cell differentiation. Recently, miR-34a has been implicated in the differentiation of monocyte-derived dendritic cells, human erythroleukemia cells, and mouse embryonic stem cells. In addition, members of the
